World of Warcraft Skinning Level Help?

So I’m a skill level 100 in skinning (journeyman) and once I got to level 100 my skill points stopped( whenever i skin something i dont get any points…). Now I’m (character) level 18 and I still have 100 skinning skill points. I’ve looked at many guides for skinning online and none really helped. I got to 100 killing Bears in Loch Modan. I really need some answers please… What do I do?

If you are out of bar to gain points you need to level it up. Though at that level I suspect you just need to find higher types of leather that will give you points.
Look at this list, it will give you a better idea of what the next leather should be that you should be trying to get and will hopefully give you some points. Then look to see where it’s found. So if you left off at light leather, you need to move on to heavy leather that’s found more in the next higher areas. From where you’ve been at, Wetlands is probably your next area to hit.

VERY simple and legit guide. just follow that. once you hit the cap go to a skinning trainer and learn the next lvl of skinning. for example.. the 1st one is like lv 1-150( lv 125 you are able to unlock the next level of skinning)
do this until your maxed and thats about it..
PS- you DONT need to lvl skinning at lv 18 you can do what i am doing lvling first then lvling my professions after many ppl do this because once you get flying it is extremly easy to farm professions.
as for the materials you get from skinning you can use them ONLY in 2 proffesions 1. taloring to make bags and 2. leatherworker. leatherworkers need a LOT… of leather so hold all your leather if your a leather worker unless you want to kill more mobs and farm skins again.
Try training your skill higher, from Journeyman to…. whatever is next. Also, if a corpse name is gray, it won’t level you up.
Gray – No exp
Green – Low chance to level
Yellow – High chance to level
Orange – Very high chance to level
Red – Cannot skin
Find a skinning trainer in the nearest city (Use wowwiki for help) and level up your skinning.
